The Italian Cultural Institute in Paris presents an important exhibition of Guido Guidi, one of the veteran of the Italian contemporary photographers. The exhibition includes almost 70 photos, most of all presented for the first time, of some of Le Corbusier’s projects: Maison La Roche (Paris, 1923-1924), Maison Planeix (Paris, 1924-1928), Villa Savoye (Poissy, 1928-1931), the Cité-Refuge (Paris, 1929-1933) and Usine Claude-et-Duval (Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, 1946-1951). A clear reading of the works of the master of modern architecture by one of the most rigorous Italians photographers.
The photos are organized in sequences that reflect the time spent by the photographer, his movements and displacements, his approaching and leaving inside and outside of the buildings.
The series of photos were taken by Guido Guidi in 2003 for an editorial project developed with Italian publisher Einaudi as part of the series 'I millenni'. This volume was published the same year with the title “Le Corbusier, Scritti, by Rosa Tamborrino, Photos by Guido Guidi, and included 27 photos presented in several exhibitions.
The exhibition Guido Guidi « Le Corbusier – 5 architetture » was presented for the first time at the 1/9 Unosunove gallery in Rome, from May the 6th till the end of June.
