Nicholas Muellner - Self Publish Be Happy
Adam Biles will welcome Nicholas Muellner (artist and author) and Bruno Ceschel (publisher, SPBH).
“In Most Tides an Island challenges photographic and literary conventions, collapsing portraiture and landscape, documentary and fiction, metaphor and description into the artist’s distinct form of hybrid narrative.”
Nicholas Muellner is an artist who operates at the intersection of photography and writing. Through books, exhibitions and slide lectures, his projects investigate the limits of photography as a documentary pursuit and as an interface to literary, political and personal narratives.
As part of Photobook Week, curated by Matthieu Nicol and produced by Too many Pictures.

Photographers, through a range of expressions, have depicted this most common of subjects, and the resulting works—from the hilarious to the devastating—hold our lives and times up to the light, forming the building blocks of culture and reflecting how we see ourselves.
Special cake, inspired by the photographs, will be served!
